Since joining AES in 2005, Carlos has been critical to implementing AES’ natural gas strategy to accelerate a cleaner and more reliable energy matrix in the Dominican Republic. Carlos actively participated in the negotiation with our first power generation client, Seaboard, for the EDM II facility, and start-up operations of the first truck loading terminal at AES Andres that incorporates five distribution companies. Currently, he is focused on origination and administration efforts for the Eastern Gas Pipeline that began operations in February 2020.

Carlos is an economist with two master’s degrees, one in Economics of Public Utilities from the Universitat de Barcelona and a second in Business Administration from Barna Business School.
