Dominicana

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): 3. Good Health and well-being
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AES Dominicana Foundation created a special contingency plan to help communities in the areas surrounding our power plants and throughout the country by distributing bio-safety health kits, food supplies and hospital assistance. We also collaborated with other institutions, including universities and NGOs, to develop innovative projects that could best address the unique challenges brought on by the pandemic. This included locally developing mechanical respirators and providing power supply to five hospitals focused on providing health services to COVID-19 patients.

About 10,000 people in local communities received pandemic support
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- Zero hunger
- Good health and well being
